Amanda Stemplowski, RP

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a Registered Psychotherapist specializing in trauma, attachment, and grief and loss.

I completed my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology and Business from Guelph University and then went on to complete my Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I opened Sprout Psychotherapy in 2022 with a vision to help those who are struggling from trauma and the many impacts it tends to have on peoples lives.

I have experience working with children, teens, and adults while offering a warm, supportive space where all parts of you are welcome. In our sessions, you can expect to be met with compassion, authenticity and humour.

My approach is eclectic and integrates the Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM), Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and techniques from Play Therapy to gently guide healing and growth. I believe that connection—with ourselves and others, plays a powerful role in the therapy process.

Together, we’ll move at your pace, creating space for curiosity, understanding, and meaningful change.

Marie-Claude Guillemette, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Welcome / Bienvenue,

The process of finding support can be difficult and overwhelming, as many first steps are. Opening up to a stranger can be uncomfortable, but together we can move towards your therapeutic goals at a pace that's right for you. I offer support to individuals 14 and older facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, emotion regulation, and interpersonal relationships. I provide a safe, affirming space for 2SLGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse clients to share authentically.

I believe every client is the expert in their life, and together we can discover the best path to achieving your wellness goals! I provide a non-judgmental, supportive, and collaborative space, with a tailored approach that honours your unique life experiences and perspectives. I welcome humour, curiosity, and your unfiltered self into every session.

Clinically, I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach grounded in person-centred, solution-focused, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT). I graduated with a Master's in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in June 2025, and from Laurentian University in 2022 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology.

When I’m not working, I’m either enjoying quality time with friends and family, playing/listening to music, or catching up on favourite podcasts while colouring.

Et oui! Je parle français!
